Creator Partnerships Associate

Outerseas · Full-time · Remote (US) · Reports to the E-Commerce Growth Marketing Manager

$45,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience

About us

Outerseas is a direct-to-consumer wild-caught Alaskan seafood brand. We ship premium sockeye, halibut, black cod, and more directly to home cooks across the country. Small team, fast growth, and a fisherman founder who is the face of the brand and deeply involved in the work.

About the role

Creators are one of our biggest growth levers, and a key pillar in building and growing our community, online and IRL. We’re hiring an associate to own the entire creator engine end to end — sourcing, outreach, negotiation, briefing, deliverable tracking, affiliate operations, and reporting.

You’ll work directly with our Growth Marketing Manager, who sets the strategy, creative direction, and monthly angles. You own everything underneath that: the pipeline, the relationships, the timelines, and the follow-through that turns a brief into finished assets on time. This is a builder’s role, not a coordinator’s — you’ll inherit a working program and be expected to systematize and scale it.

What you’ll own

  • Creator sourcing and recruiting. Build and maintain a pipeline of creators across our target segments — athletes, home chefs, wellness and parents. Research, vet, and prioritize new talent; keep a living database of who we’ve worked with and how they performed.
  • Outreach and negotiation. Run first contact through signed agreement, including talent managers and agencies. Negotiate deliverables, rates, and usage rights within budget parameters we set together.
  • Briefing and production management. Translate our monthly creative angles into individual creator briefs, then manage delivery — hooks, formats, revisions, and deadlines — so finished footage lands when the media calendar needs it.
  • Seeding and shipping logistics. Coordinate product to creators with our 3PL, track shipments, and resolve issues fast. Our product is frozen and perishable; getting it there in good condition is part of the job.
  • Affiliate program operations. Run day-to-day affiliate management — onboarding, links and codes, commission structures, payouts, restock requests, and performance tracking. Recruit new affiliates against the segments we’re targeting.
  • Asset library and handoff. Organize incoming raw and finished footage so paid media, email, and organic can find and use it. Flag top performers for usage-rights buyouts.
  • Reporting. Track spend, deliverables, affiliate revenue, and creative performance. Bring a monthly read on what’s working, which creators to re-sign, and where we’re wasting money.

Where you’ll support

Beyond the creator program, you’ll be in the room for how the brand shows up and where it’s headed:

  • Brand and creative strategy. Contribute to how we position Outerseas, the stories we tell, and the angles we test — and help make sure creator work ladders up to those goals instead of running beside them.
  • Promo and campaign briefing. Help turn sales, launches, and lifecycle moments into clear briefs for creators, designers, and channel owners.
  • Long-lead planning. Work the marketing calendar with us — seasonal moments, holiday, and Q4 — so content and creator commitments are locked far enough ahead to actually be good.
  • The monthly creative sprint. Five angles, creator campaigns, static ad variations, and landing pages — you own the creator half of execution and have a voice in the rest.
  • Brand-voice copy. First-pass writing when creator content feeds email, SMS, or the site.

What success looks like

  • First 30 days: you know the tools, the current roster, and the monthly rhythm. You’re running outreach independently.
  • First 90 days: creator briefs and deliverables run through you without needing to be chased. The affiliate roster is growing against a plan, not opportunistically.
  • First 6 months: the program is documented, predictable, and producing a reliable monthly volume of usable creative. You’re bringing ideas about which creators, segments, and brand angles to bet on next.

Who we’re looking for

  • 1–3 years in creator/influencer marketing, PR, talent coordination, social, or DTC brand marketing. Agency or in-house both count.
  • You’re comfortable pitching, negotiating, and following up with people you don’t know — repeatedly, without it feeling awkward.
  • Genuinely organized. Dozens of creators at different stages is the normal state of this job, and nothing can quietly fall through.
  • Strong writer who can match a brand voice — ours is warm, conversational, and founder-led.
  • You have opinions about brand. You can look at an angle or a promo and say why it will or won’t land.
  • Comfortable in spreadsheets and fluent enough with performance data to tell a good partnership from a bad one.
  • Self-directed. We’ll give you context and ownership, not hand-holding.
  • You care about food, fishing, the outdoors, or where your dinner comes from — enough to talk about it credibly with creators.

Nice to have

  • Agency/client experience.
  • Hands-on experience with influencer or UGC management.
  • Working knowledge of Shopify, Klaviyo, or Meta Ads Manager.
  • You’ve made content yourself — it helps to know what you’re asking creators for.

Logistics

  • Type: Full-time, salaried
  • Compensation: $45,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience
  • Benefits: Flexible PTO, paid holidays, sick leave
  • Location: Fully remote within the US, with regular video check-ins
  • Reports to: E-Commerce Growth Marketing Manager
